Call it the 2014 Toyota Corolla or the all new European specs 2014 Toyota Corolla that has just entered the production stage in Turkey. The sales in Europe will begin in the coming months. The company gave a detailed description about the new Corolla in videos.

The first video speaks about the design and exteriors of the new coupe. The European styled Corolla features a more pouncing design added to it than the sportier looking Corolla specifically designed for the American car market. As per the statement said by Toyota in United States, Corolla owners are self-driven and durability of the car is lower as compared to that of Asia and Europe.

While talking about the markets of India and Thailand where Corolla sweeps in and caters to as a rear seat coupe for business class, carrying a more mature and luxury tourer look. The headlight of the coupe comes well integrate with daytime running lights and other design elements in the front add more to the looks of the car, speaking more about its keen look.

The car’s wheelbase noticed an extension of 100mm while the overall height has been diminished by 5mm. While interrogating about the interiors of the car, we found a combo of soft touch plastics well highlighted with a piano black colour finish along with silver accents. The interiors are well lit with blue back lighting that creates a perfect premium ambience according to the brand.

Toyota has come up with four engine variants. The coupe has taken a great leap with reference to the engine of the car. It features 1.33l Dual VVT –I engine that produces power of 98bhp and a peak torque of 128Nm. Well mated to 6-speed transmission, the car delivers a fuel efficacy of 5.6l per 100km.

The second version is 1.6l Dual VVT-I which is capable of producing 120hp of power and a peak torque of 154Nm offering a fuel efficiency of 15.15kmpl. The third one is a derived version with 1.6l Valvematic engine rated at 130hp along with a torque of 160Nm with a fuel efficiency of 16.66kmpl

The most powerful engine is the fourth one with 1.8l Dual VVT –I technology along with the Multidrive S automatic transmission. The motor offers 138hp power and 173Nm torque with a mileage of 15.62kmpl.
The last one of the group is the 1.4 D-4D turbo diesel engine that develops power of 89hp and 250Nm offering a fuel economy of 26.31kmpl. The engine is mated with 6-speed multimode transmission along with Start-Stop function.

Corolla will come in three variants viz. Active, Lounge and Live. The car is anticipated to come to Indian in the middle of the coming year. Though the features are revealed however we impatiently await the release of this luxury car in India.
